Fun Times

Well, it has been a few days since I last posted, but life has been busy. We finally got the yard in and it looks great. I took a class on quilling, so you get to see my first attempt to embellish a card with it. Not the greatest, but okay. The center should have been a little bigger I think.

Anyway, on to the card. This is an older Maggie called Tilda with a Swimsuit and the Bridge Deck from the Party and Vacation collection. But, I think she is so cute. She is colored iwith Copic Sketch markers (E00, E01, R20, YR12, YR14, B41, B45, Y23, Y32, W1, W3, and BG01). I used the Waterfall Stickles on the water and Stardust Stickles on her wings. The CS is Stampin Up and the DP is Making Memories' English Garden. The sun I quilled with yellow graduated quilling strips from Quilled Creations. The sentiment is from TLC Creations and is punched out with a punch from Stampin Up. The flower is from Martha Stewart Crafts and the ribbon is some I got from Hancock Fabric Store.

I plan to enter this card in these challenges:

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge #81 - Water, Water

Have a Sunshiny Day!

It has been another loud day around my house as the workers returned to continue putting in my sprinkler system. I have one pup that is 7 months old and she barks and barks. This afternoon has been much quieter and I had time to make a card.

The CS is Bazzill and DP is Basic Grey's Sweet Threads. I used a Sizzix embossing folder and Spellbinder Nestabilities Circle and Scalloped Circle. I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch out my lace from the CS. The flower and leaves were made using punches from the Punch Bunch. They are made out of the DP. The yellow button is from Basic Grey and the orange one is from my stash. The sentiment is punched out with punches from Stampin Up.

Thinking of You

Today I did a gatefold card. This cutie image is from Sassy Cheryl's. This is the flowerpot bunny digi stamp. Isn't is sweet? I'm trying to spread my wings and do something other than the regular fold cards, but it is hard to move away from what you are comfortable doing. Anyhow here is the inside of the card.

I used several other stamps on this card. I have used both types of stamps, digital and rubber. The swirls on the outside is a stamp from Great Impressions. It is stamped with Marina Mist by Stampin Up. The sentiment and butterfly stamps on the inside are from a Stampin Up stamp set called So Happy for You. The sentiment is stamped with Marina Mist and the butterfly is stamped with Tangerine Tango, both from Stampin Up. The background of the bunny and the edges of the inside note is sponged with Marina Mist ink. The bunny image is colored with Copic Sketch markers. And I used the Deckled Ovals from Spellbinder Nestabilities. The CS is from Stampin Up and the ribbon is from my stash.

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend. I know I did and I really didn't do anything at all, but I guess that's the point. My dear hubby took me out to eat breakfast/brunch which is what I requested. It was so good. Both my boys called me. So, it was a good day.
